- I've got a 1200 (hold on, it's not going to be one if those posts..)
- and I want to get a CDROM drive. While I peruse the models I see CD32
- compatibility as essential. So why don't designers make games
- compatible with both CD32 and A1200 systems without any compromises?
- Ok, Cd32 has Akiko (I'm still confused about what that does, now is it
- CD specific stuff or is it Chunky to planar too?) but normal CD32
- emulation involves software Akiko emulation. So why not write software
- to fit both systems. Can it be that difficult to aim at two markets
- instead of one?
-
- Anyway before I say anything else that I don't know much about; I'd
- love to play CDROM based games that run in full AGA i.e ability to run
- in double scan modes. Pinball illusions did it no problem. I'd guess
- as CD32 is more of a set top box most people won't have a suitable
- monitor. Does this mean all CD based games run at 15kHz PAL or what?
